Way to Use It 207 Frugal Finds and MoJo 75

Good afternoon all!

Here is my card for today's Way to Use It Challenge to use something on your card that you was a good find. Mine here is the image and sentiment. They are from Imaginase and they were only for a dollar. I also made this for the Mojo sketch for the week. I made one earlier this week, but I didn't really like ti so I thought I would try again. I do like this one better, but it is not my best. The base card is WW. I use American Craft Metropolitan dp. The image was stamped in tuxedo black twice onto WW and colored in with Copics. I then cut out the one and adhered it on top with pop dots. I used one of the images from Pocket Silhouettes to make some "grass".

I added some photo corners, sentiment and some half back pearls.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!

Sketch Challenge 216 Way To Use It 206

Good afternoon! I made a card today for yesterday's Sketch Challenge on SCS and The Way to Use It Challenge for today on SCS in which we were to use stripes. I am not a big fan on stripes so I used some of SU's dsp to help me out. I started with Kraft as my base and layered Pumpkin Pie and Washington Apple dsp. I used my Marvy scalloped circle punches for the circle panels. I used So Saffron and the other striped piece from the same dsp. I pierced around the scallops to make them stand out a bit more. The lower panel is Kraft, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White. I stamped the flower image from Upsy Daisy in Pumpkin and a gain is So Saffron to make a shadow image. The sentiment layer is Kraft, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie. I stamped the sentiment from Stampendous in Pumpkin and pierced the corners. I used the SU scallop punch on the Whisper White and pierced the scallops and two rows underneath that. I then tied a piece of hemp twine just around the tow opposite corners. This panel is up on dimensionals.
I went ahead and stamped on the inside of the card. I used a piece of So Saffron and Whisper White and again stamped the image in the two colors.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful afternoon!

WT 201 and SC 211

Hi and happy Thursday! Here is my card for two challenges. The first is for the Sketch Challenge on SCS that was yesterday and today's Way to Use It Challenge to Color Your World. This was a fun sketch to follow. I used True Friend for my images. I just love this set. I colored the the flower with my SU markers in Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue and Gable Green. These were the colores that I chose for the colors scheme found here: Pepper 2. I guess you can figure out why I picked these colors. LOL!! I do in fact love these colors together anyway!

The dp is from SU. The butterflies are from the MS punch. I daubered them in Real Red and Pumpkin Pie. The sentiment is from Best Yet. I paper pierced the top and bottom of the image ans I used the SU scallop punch for the image layer as well. The Real Red layer was ran through the Cuttlebug in the Swiss Dots folder. The image layer, sentiment layer and the flowers on the corners are up on dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by!

Way To Use It-Stars

Hi!
What a fun challenge today to use stars on our card or project!! I bought this stamp last week at Hobby Lobby and I thought he was just sweet! I then noticed today that his antenna look like stars!! Two for one!! Gotta like those odds!!
I ink him up in Stazon Black and colored him in with Copics (my first blending try on the watermelon). I added stickles to the wings. I layered him on the Label 2 nesties. The dp is Basic Gray Urban Prairie. I cut out a section of the bee from the paper and adhered it with a dimensional on top of the same image on the paper.
The star brad was dipped in dazzle versamark, then Kiwi Kiss and clear EP. It is is hard to see, it kind of look gold from far away.
Thanks for visiting!!

Ways to Use It Challenge, Sketch Challenge

Hello!!

I have been so busy, so today I combined yesterday's Sketch Challenge from SCS and today's Way to Use It Challenge in which we were to embellish our envelopes. I often do this already, but lately I have been doing the inside of my cards. Maybe next time we will be doing that!! Anyways, I started out with a piece of Certainly Celery for my base. Then a Close to Cocoa layer and then three strips if Real Red and Chatterbox dp. The image is from Rubber Stampede and the hostess set Best Yet. I added a Filigree accent and the silver brads on the side. The sentiment was punched with the large oval punch from SU! I tried to do the Gamsol technique with the Cardinal bird. I used my Prisma colored pencils and OMS. It is hard to see, but I used the clear stardust pen on the pine needles. The image and sentiment are up on dimensionals.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!!

Ways to Use It Challenge

Hello!

Here is my card for today's Way to Use It Challenge to use pearls on our cards. I used pearls is two different ways today. First, I used Pearl Ex on my Santa from Rubber Stampede. I just love this Santa image and this is the first time I have inked him up. I brushed on the Pearl Ex after applying the medium. I used yesterday's Sketch Challenge because I wasn't able to participate yesterday. I felt that it was a good fit for the image. The DP is from Basic Greys new line of paper called Wassail. It is just so pretty, I used two different patterns. The base card is Mellow Moss then layered with So Saffron and the Wassail. I next used my CM square punch to make the squares for the corners. I added the half back pearls to the center of each square. The Santa was then applied with dimensionals and I then used the Cute and Curly Label Bundle for the sentiment. I stamped it twice, once in Ridinghood Red and again in So Saffron. I punched out just the Merry Christmas that I stamped in So Saffron with my small oval punch and adhered it with a dimensional.
The ribbon fiber was wrapped around twice and tied in a knot. I embellished the inside of my card with So Saffron, white and a piece of the Wassail.

Thanks for stopping by!

Color Throw Down 19 and WT192

Hi everyone! I made another for today's Way To Use It Challenge and one for the Color Throw Down 19 which can be found here: Color Throw Down 19. My bade card is Bordering Blue and then a piece of Whisper White. I stamped Linen in Bordering Blue onto the Whisper White. I then cute three long panels in Bravo Burgundy and Not Quite Navy. I ran the NQN strips through the Cuttle Bug with the Argyle EF. On the bottom panel I cut out the Cute and Curly label in WCP and stamped the sentiment in BB and then with my aqua brush I made a "border" by painting Bordering blue around the edges. I then added a dew drop and brads onto the panel. This panel is on dimensionals s well as the sentiment.

The image were stamped in black stazon onto WCP and colored in with the aqua painter in Bordering Blue, Not Quite Navy Bravo Burgundy and Kiwi Kiss. I did the same "bordering" with these image and put them up on dimemsionals.

Ways to Use It Challenge

Hi!!

I finally was able to sit down and make today's challenge card: Cutting Corners. I had my 20 month old sitting next to me the whole time I was trying to put this together. This is not how I invisioned my card at all, but I am happy with the way it turned out.
I punched the balloons three times in Not Quite Navy, Apricot Appeal and Certainly Celery. I cut them out and adhered with dimensionals after I stamped them onto the WW layer. I then used my ticket corner punch on the NQN and WW layer. I used a Fiskers punch called Lace that has three different styles in one punch. I think this has been sitting in my drawer for about a year!! Thanks for making me get it out! I punched the corners of the Apricot layer. I then stamped Linen tone on tone on the same layer.
For the middle panel I used my new MS edge punch that embosses flowers which is hard to see in the photo. I tied CC ribbon around that and added a piece of AA and navy ribbon in that. The sentiment was stamped twice once in NQN and then in CC. I punched out just the wording part and adhered with a dimensional. To finish it off, I added dew drops.

Whew!! Well thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my creation today!!
