Inspiration Challenge 169

Happy Saturday everyone!

Here my card for today's IC on SCS. I chose this image for mine: Striped Napkins. I loved the fun and bright colors. I made the striped background my self with SU markers in Real Red, Brocade Blue, So Saffron and Certainly Celery.

The images from Garden Whimsy were stamped by coloring in the imagaes and stamping onto WW cardstock. The butterfly is the MS punch and I sponged it in Certainly Celery and Brocade Blue and adhered with a pop dot. I used rasberry stickels for the body, The little lady bugs and main image are up on dimensionals. I added some Real Red striped ribbon and Certainly Celery ribbon for the embellishment in the top right corner.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Inspiration Challenge 166 Hunkydoryhome, MoJo 72

Hi!

This is a card made from all SU products. I am trying to do this because I want to become a demonstrator and I know that I have to use SU only products! So this is a separate challenge with in itself for me!!This is a close up of the cherries!
Hi everyone and happy Saturday!

Here is my card for two challenges. The first is for the MoJo 72 sketch and then for the Inspiration Challenges on SCS. When I saw this image for the IC I immediatly know I wanted to use my Tart and Tangy set with the Summer Picnic dsp.
I started with a piece of Mellow Moss for the base and then layered with Real Red and the Summer Picnic dsp of the cherries. I then added some Real Red buttons to the bottom right corner. The next panel is Bashful Blue, which I used the SU scallop punch, Real Red and the opposite side of the dsp. I pierced a row on the top and the bottom and them added the Real Red striped ribbon. The top panel is layered in Mellow Moss, Bashful Blue, Real Red and WW. The cherries were stamped by coloring the image is Mellow Moss and Real Red markers and adding Crystal Effects to the cherries. I then pierced the bottom of the BB panel. I added a piece of BB striped ribbon and attached the sentiment with a dimensional.
I used a piece of the Summer Picnic dsp to make the scallop circle and the SU punches for the layering. I stamped the sentiment is Real Red.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Inspiration Challenge

Happy Saturday all!

I made this card for today's Inspiration Challenge on SCS. I chose this item for mine: Espresso.

I love the simple design and the colors. I made mine into a birthday card since I don't drink coffee, plus I need a birthday card for my sons friend from Pre-School who is having a party next Saturday.

I started with a piece of Ruby Red and ran that through the Swiss Dots folder, I then added a layer of River Rock (I still love this color) and used the thin Ric Rac strip for the edges in place of the decorative one on the original. The image is from Our Craft Lounge Anna Mae. It stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with SU markers and blender pen. I layered this up with the Labels 2 nesties and placed it up on dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Ruby Red directly onto the River Rock!

This was so simple!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Inspiration Challenge 161

Hi, Here is my card for the Inspiration Challenge. What fun cakes we had to choose from for our creations today. This one is called Warning Signs. Instead of doing triangle which I do not like to do, I went with the Labels 2 nesties. I used the colors, Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Barely Banana and Pacific Blue. The exclamation pint is from the retired Brushstroke Alphabet and it is embossed in black. I then traced around the edges with a black Bic marker. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black.
This card is the Cuppy Cake one. I thought it was just adorable. I used the Inkidinkado cupcake set. I stamped each cupcake in black, colored in the tops with my Copics. I used the 1/1 inch circle punch for the cherries in Real Red cs and the stems are small pieces of black cs cut very thin and I wrapped them around my finger to get them to curl. I used the word window punch for the base and each cupcake is on a dimensional. I stamped the sentiment is Orchid Opulence.
Thanks for stopping by!

Insiration Challenge 160

Hi!~
Here is my card for today's IC on SCS. I chose this image for my inspiration: Bleeker Street.
I went with the patterns and the purse style. I actually made a purse card, my first. I took a piece of black cardstock, cut it to 6 x 12 and scored at each end at 4 1/2, I attached the Urban Prairie dp. I then put some making Memories lace ribbon on the bottom half. The handles is felt ribbon. The sentiment was stamped in kiwi Kiss and punched out with the large oval punch and attached with hardware. To keep the purse closed, I used a library clip and attached primas on each side then finished it off with a crystal sticker in the center. I am pretty happy with the outcome, although it took me forever!1 I think next time I will use jumbo eyelets for the handles.
Thanks for looking!

Inspiration Challenge 156

Happy Saturday everyone!

I am just exhausted after my 13 hour shopping escapade yesterday!! I did accomplish alot though!I saw today's Inspiration Challenge and I wanted to play along.

I just loved the simplicity and the colors. I used Prism white and Creamy Caramel. I just bought these Cuttlebug strip embossing folders yesterday and I thought they would be perfect for the edging. I used the Dazzling Versamark and detailed white embossing powder for the flower and I just used the Basic Black marker for the stems.
I then used the twill ribbon for the two corners and the MS butterfly punch. I daubered just the edges of the butterflies in Creamy Caramel. The main panel is up on dimensionals.
Thanks for looking and please leave a comment!

Inspiration Challenge 153

Hi everyone and happy Saturday!
What fun items to chose from for today's Inspiration Challenge. I chose this item for mine: Boda Inspiration I loved the colors because they match so well with the new In Colors.
I used the nesties to cut out my matting in Ridinghood Red, Pacific Blue and Whisper White. The next panel I used the scallop punch. The image was stamped in RHR and again in PP then I just cut out the ear and adhered it with a dimensional. I used a $1 Michaels punch for the heart and put that in place of the flower. I first colored in the stem with my BB marker and then adhered the heart on a pop dot. I paper pierced the corners and long panel. I then punched with the slot punch under the image and ran the ribbon through that. I adhered the image on dimensionals and the sentiment was stamped in RHR then punched with the window word punch.

I have started to embellish the inside of my cards.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!!
