Inspiration Challenge 169

Happy Saturday everyone!

Here my card for today's IC on SCS. I chose this image for mine: Striped Napkins. I loved the fun and bright colors. I made the striped background my self with SU markers in Real Red, Brocade Blue, So Saffron and Certainly Celery.

The images from Garden Whimsy were stamped by coloring in the imagaes and stamping onto WW cardstock. The butterfly is the MS punch and I sponged it in Certainly Celery and Brocade Blue and adhered with a pop dot. I used rasberry stickels for the body, The little lady bugs and main image are up on dimensionals. I added some Real Red striped ribbon and Certainly Celery ribbon for the embellishment in the top right corner.

Way to Use It 207 Frugal Finds and MoJo 75

Good afternoon all!

Here is my card for today's Way to Use It Challenge to use something on your card that you was a good find. Mine here is the image and sentiment. They are from Imaginase and they were only for a dollar. I also made this for the Mojo sketch for the week. I made one earlier this week, but I didn't really like ti so I thought I would try again. I do like this one better, but it is not my best. The base card is WW. I use American Craft Metropolitan dp. The image was stamped in tuxedo black twice onto WW and colored in with Copics. I then cut out the one and adhered it on top with pop dots. I used one of the images from Pocket Silhouettes to make some "grass".

I added some photo corners, sentiment and some half back pearls.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!

Sketch Challenge 217

Good afternoon everyone!

It is a gorgeous day here today! The temp is 60 degrees and sunny! I can't wait for Spring to arrive!!

Here is the card I made for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS. I have been thinking about this one all day while I was at work. I bought this American Craft dp called Metropolitan the other day so I started with this for my inspiration. I went with the colors of Real Red, Basic Black and Baja Breeze. I used the images from Pocket Silhouettes for my three image squares. I stamped three of the images in the three colors and adhered them with pop dots, The panel underneath is just Basic Black with the scallop edge punch used and a Real Red. The sentiment was stamped in Tuxedo Black and I used SU oval punches. I stamped the one remaining images over the sentiment in Baja Breeze. I didn't add any embellies because I felt the dp was bold and busy enough.
I did the inside of the card also. I just went with a piece of WW and the dp with one edge of it with the scallop punch. I then stamped one of the images id Baja Breeze along the bottom.
Thanks for stopping by!

The image was stamped in tuxedo black and colored in with Copic markers and then the leaves were colored in by using the ink pad of Kiwi Kiss and a blender pen. I stamped the sentiment if Pumpkin Pie and layered it on Kiwi Kiss punch out with the large SU oval punch. This is up on dimensionals. I then placed to Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon on the one side and layered the hydrangea Martha Stewart punch in the three colors. The main panel is also on dimensionals for some depth.

TLC 209 and MOJO 75

Hi!

I made this card for two challenges. the first is for the Technique Lover's Challenge to use rubber bands and embossing powders. I used several bands and wrapped them around an acrylic block and stamped a piece of WW with versa mark and embossed with an emerald color powder. I then used Apricot Appeal ink to brayer on my color over the embossed areas. I left a distressed look. The sketch is the Mojo sketch for the week. I flipped it to accommodate my image. The frog and mushroom were stamped in tuxedo black and colored in with Copics. I cut out the frog and adhered him on top of the mushroom with a dimensionals. The image was then layered with the rectangle nesties. The flower image panel was stamped in tuxedo black and colored in the Copis too and then I added black brads for the centers. I used the arch lattice Martha Stewart punch for the edging on the bottom panel. The image panel is up on foam tape.

I went ahead and did the inside of my card too since I used Always Artichoke for my base card, I needed to put in a piece of white card stock so I could put in a message. I stamped the mushroom and colored it in with Copics and added a layer on the side for more decoration.

Sketch Challenge 216 Way To Use It 206

Good afternoon! I made a card today for yesterday's Sketch Challenge on SCS and The Way to Use It Challenge for today on SCS in which we were to use stripes. I am not a big fan on stripes so I used some of SU's dsp to help me out. I started with Kraft as my base and layered Pumpkin Pie and Washington Apple dsp. I used my Marvy scalloped circle punches for the circle panels. I used So Saffron and the other striped piece from the same dsp. I pierced around the scallops to make them stand out a bit more. The lower panel is Kraft, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White. I stamped the flower image from Upsy Daisy in Pumpkin and a gain is So Saffron to make a shadow image. The sentiment layer is Kraft, So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie. I stamped the sentiment from Stampendous in Pumpkin and pierced the corners. I used the SU scallop punch on the Whisper White and pierced the scallops and two rows underneath that. I then tied a piece of hemp twine just around the tow opposite corners. This panel is up on dimensionals.
I went ahead and stamped on the inside of the card. I used a piece of So Saffron and Whisper White and again stamped the image in the two colors.

Beate's WSC 68

Hi everyone and Happy Valentine's Day! I woke up to a large sign made by by kids that they colored and drew pictures on! Needless to say, I was in tears! They were so proud of it!
On to the card! This is for Beate's WSC 68. I was thrilled that she is back with more inspiring sketches for us to try! I needed to make a birthday card for my son's godfather whose birthday is in a few days. I have a hard time with masculine cards! I like the colors though! I used Night of Navy, Baja Breeze and River Rock (still my favorite). The dp is from Afternoon Teas dsp and and an unknown. I started by stamping the image is Tuxedo Black and colored the image in with my Copics, I tried to get as close as I could to the colors with my limited supply of Copics! I then cut it out with my nesties Label 1. I used the red for a POP color. The large oval and smaller circle were cut by using my CM cutting system.
I pierced the larger oval with a piercing plate I bought through Our Daily Bread. The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy and I then used the background small stamp from the Delight of Life set in River Rock over the sentiment.
The larger oval, image panel and sentiment are on dimensionals and I then added the bottom with some hemp twine and a square clip with some ribbon and hemp twine tied on it.

I layered this up with the Labels 2 nesties and placed it up on dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in Ruby Red directly onto the River Rock!

Featured Stamper 101- JayDeKay, OCCC

Happy Sunday everyone!

Here is my card for today's Featured Stamper on SCS JayDeKay. She had an awesome gallery, you should check it out!! I also made this for the OCCC to use two shades of blue along with a neutral color. My two shades of blue are Bashful Blue and Buckaroo Blue along with Kraft being my neutral.

The FS challenge is one where you pick a card from the FS gallery and change two or more things on it. This is the card I chose: ssnotime34 Happy Critters. I liked the layout and that is kind of what I stuck with. The card size is 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. The bottom panel is square, but he other panel is more rectangle to fit the image I chose. I also changed the colors, theme, moved the sentiment, added the button, omitted the stitching and did some doodling. The back Kraft panel was ran through the Cuttlebug. The square panel had Basic Gray Boxer dp and the image was colored in with watercolored pencils and a blender pen.

I hope you like what I did here!!

Limited Supply 202- Hearts

Hi! I made another one for this fun challenge to use hearts, but the catch was the it use pink or red, heart image, embossed hearts or anything that has any of the above on the card. I went with an all Pink Pirouette and Whisper White card. I did the negative embossed folder technique with the block heart folder. The image was stamped in Dazzle Versamark and then Pink Pirouette and clear embossed, I did the same for the sentiment, I cut them out with my nesties and layered the, on Pink Pirouette, Each fo the images are up on dimensionals. The ribbon is wrapped half way around the card and adhered in the back. I made the bow and attached a big pink button in the middle.

Here is a close up of the sentiment. I used stickles for the heart. It is really sparkly IRL. You can kind of see the shimmer on the letters from the Versamark.
Thanks for stopping by and have a terrific weekend!

The image was stamped in black and colored in with Copics. I used the mega curvy rectangle nesties to from the image. The heart punch is from Creative Memories and the sentiment is part of one that say' "love to you" and I just colored in the word love with my Real Red marker and stamped that on the white heart. I tied the Real Red striped ribbon around and adhered to the back. I just bought these heart charms at Michael's yesterday and i tied those an with hemp. Way To Use It-Stars

Hi!
What a fun challenge today to use stars on our card or project!! I bought this stamp last week at Hobby Lobby and I thought he was just sweet! I then noticed today that his antenna look like stars!! Two for one!! Gotta like those odds!!
I ink him up in Stazon Black and colored him in with Copics (my first blending try on the watermelon). I added stickles to the wings. I layered him on the Label 2 nesties. The dp is Basic Gray Urban Prairie. I cut out a section of the bee from the paper and adhered it with a dimensional on top of the same image on the paper.
The star brad was dipped in dazzle versamark, then Kiwi Kiss and clear EP. It is is hard to see, it kind of look gold from far away.

Sketch Challenge 210

Hi, here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS and for the The Color Throw Down Challenge to use Baja Breeze, Mellow Moss and Very Vanilla.. What great colors to go along with a fabulous sketch. This card measures 5x5. The dp is from American Crafts. I used MS arch lattice punch. The small middle panel is mellow moss and vanilla, I stamped the leaf image from Embrace Life in Chocolate Chip and colored the leaves in with the Mellow Moss marker. I stamped the image again for the other panel again in Chocolate Chip. The sentiment is from Stampendous. I just love the quote! It says it all! I added Jumbo Eyelets and tied hemp around those and I added primas and adhered with a dimensional.

Color Challenge 200

Hi,
I made another one for this challenge because I was not thrilled with my first one which is the one below this post. I used Flower Filled for this one. I stamped the boots in Stazon UltraMarine and cut them out. I stamped the stems is Stazon green. I then stamped the flowers in Pumpkin Pie and the Ultramarine. I stamped the pumpkin one's again onto WW and punched them out and adhered them on top of the other ones with pop dots. I then added blue gems to the middle. The other flowers have stickles in the middle as well as the button on the boot. I used the Garden Green for "grass" and sued the Martha Stewart edge punch for that. I added orange brads to to bottom with my Crop-a-Dial. The Butterflies were made with the MS punch and sponged with the Pumpkin Pie and Ultramarine inks, attached with pop dots and the smaller blue gems to the body. The sentiment is the Cute and Curly set. I trimmed around the sentiment to make it fit. I then added the primas with a crystal brad. I cuttlebugged the white cs with birds and swirls.

Color Challenge 200

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday. Well the oldest is back at school, so it is finally back to normal again!! Well this was a very interesting color combination today. The only ink I have is Pumpkin Pie and cs was Pumpkin Pie and Garden Green. The blue is an Achiever color that matched up pretty well. The dp is from the glitter stack. I stamped the image from Stazon Inks and Pumpkin Pie. I pierced around the image, in the bottom corners and along the sentiment. I used the scallop punch for the image layers and the oval and word window punch for the sentiment. The sentiment and primas are up on dimensionals. I added some dew drop accents to the side and ribbon around the image.

MoJo68

Hi and happy Monday! What a great sketch for MoJo Monday, I just couldn't pass it up! I used SU Washington Apple dsp for a starting point. I just love the colors in it. I used sponge daubers to color in my image. I used Ridinghood Red, Bashful Blue and So Saffron. I then cut it out with my Mega Rectangle Nesties and layered that on So Saffron. The strip is RHR and Washington Apple sap. I used buttons from CTMH and paper pierced along the middle of it and adhered with dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped in RHR, sponged and punched out with the large oval. I pierced around the larger oval and adhered with a dimensional. I used the Martha Stewart butterfly punch and sponged with all three colors and add stickles to the body of the butterfly. On the top corner I used the small and large oval punch and then adhered a prima and a dew drop.
Thanks for looking and please leave a comment if you wish!

Featured Stamper 100 JulieHRR

Happy Sunday everyone! What an awesome gallery we were to chose from today for the Featured Stamper JuliHRR. We are to pick a card and CASE it and change at least 2 things. I chose Happy Bee-lated Birthday. I loved the simplicity and the layout. The things I changed were:

colors
themes
omitted the brads and added piercing
moved the sentiment
butterflies instead of bees
one extra layer

I daubered the image with River Rock and Ridinghood Red. The dp is Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl. I stamped the image is River Rock, punched out and layered on the scallop circle. I then paper pierced around the image and again on the dp layer. I used the MS lace edge punch for the Ridinghood Red layer.

Here is a close up of the butterflies. I punched them out with the Martha Stewart punch and daubered the edges with River Rock and Ridinghood Red. I added stickles to the body of the butterfly.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!!
